Employee of the Month: Randy Polakiewicz

Randy has more than 25 years of experience, and is a very versatile MIG and TIG welder. Whether you need angle stands out of carbon steel or a stainless steel exhaust hood, Randy can do it all. When he’s not here in the shop, Randy can be found hunting, fishing and cheering on his daughter’s softball team.

This hydraulic unit lets us cut, punch and bend even thicker material, allowing us to create heavy-duty support stands, brackets and other finished pieces for our clients. Plus, because it’s versatile and energy-efficient, the Ironworker allows us to deliver projects faster and more cost-efficiently.

As you can see from the pictures above, we increased our office space and employee

break room area from 250 square ft. to 2,250 sq ft. We now have a conference room,
reception area, private office, engineering area and as well as remodeled bathrooms
(sure beats the porto-potty). We also installed a new phone system and upgraded our
office furniture. If you would like a personal tour, we would be more than happy to

2007 was a banner year for Bear Metal Works. Not only did we expand into a full service steel fabrication shop, but we exceeded all expectations with over $1 million in annual sales. Thanks to great customers like you, we hope to continue this growth with an acquisition of another company in the upcoming year. This will expand the range of our capabilities and increase employment with new jobs.

This was an easy decision to purchase a building with (2) overhead cranes & a large outside storage yard, where additional work &/or services can be performed. This new location has easy access to the thruway, as well as room to expand and handle 40’-0” lg. delivery trailers. Located in the Seneca/Babcock neighborhood of south Buffalo, this new facility has over 15,000 sq. ft. under the roof and 1 acre of fenced land. Included in this building, is 2,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 5 ton overhead crane, a 3 ton overhead crane, and a 1 ton mono-rail throughout the building.
